What is RNGdle?

RNGdle is a daily random number game. Once a day you press one button and receive a random number between 0 and 1,000,000. That is the entire input. RNGdle then reads the number for hidden structure — is it a palindrome, is it prime, does it contain 420 or 1337, do its digits climb like a staircase, are three of them the same — and awards a badge for every pattern it finds. Each badge is worth Entropy Points (EP) in proportion to how rare the pattern is, your EP for the day is your score, and a leaderboard ranks everyone's roll until it resets at midnight UTC.

Unlike Wordle and the other “-dle” games RNGdle grew out of, there is nothing to solve and no skill to improve. You do not solve the roll. You survive the roll. Most days you get a Common number and a handful of small badges; every so often the dice hand someone a palindrome, a perfect power or the number 1 itself, and the whole leaderboard finds out. That mix of routine and lottery is what makes RNGdle stick as a two-minute daily habit — and why people share their result cards.

How to play RNGdle

1. Press Generate. RNGdle's six tiles spin and lock in one at a time, left to right, revealing your number for today. You can add a display name first so the leaderboard shows who you are.
2. Read the scan. Under the number you get your rarity tier (Trash up to Mythic), your “Top N%” against every possible roll, and your EP counting up.
3. Go through the badge breakdown. Every badge lists its rule, its rarity and its EP, and highlights the digits that earned it — so a roll of 1,337 shows you exactly why it is worth 353,685 EP.
4. Add a caption, share the card. One line of text rides along with your roll on the leaderboard, and the share card is a ready-made image for X, Discord, WhatsApp or Instagram.
5. Check the leaderboard, come back tomorrow. Rolling on consecutive days builds a streak, every badge goes into your collection, and the countdown tells you when the next roll unlocks.

RNGdle rules — the catch

• One roll per day. The number is locked the moment it lands. No rerolls, no mulligans, no “best of three”.
• The range is 0 to 1,000,000 — 1,000,001 possible numbers, every one of them equally likely on every roll. Yesterday's number does not change today's odds.
• RNGdle badges stack. A number that is both a palindrome and a prime earns both badges; there is no “best badge only” rule.
• The day resets at midnight UTC for everyone, which is what makes the daily leaderboard a fair race.
• No account needed to play RNGdle. Your browser is remembered automatically; signing in with Google just carries your rolls, EP and badge collection across devices.

RNGdle badges and Entropy Points (EP)

There are 153 RNGdle badges. Each one is a rule about the number — a substring it contains, a shape its digits make, a property from number theory — and each is worth 100 EP divided by the probability that a random roll satisfies it. We measured every probability exactly by running all 1,000,001 numbers through the engine, so a badge that 50% of rolls earn (Even) is worth 200 EP, one that 1 in 11 rolls earn (Eleven) is worth 1,100 EP, and a perfect thirteenth power, which only three numbers in the whole range are, is worth 33 million. RNGdle rarity tiers

Your RNGdle roll's tier comes from where its total EP lands among all possible rolls, not from any single badge. The cut-offs below are computed from the current badge set:

Is there an RNGdle strategy? Tips for reading your roll

Honestly: no. RNGdle has no strategy — you cannot influence the number, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. What you can do is get more out of each roll.

• Learn the tiers, not the numbers. A Common roll is a normal day; Uncommon means you beat half of all possible rolls; anything Rare or above is a genuinely lucky day worth sharing.
• Look for the stacked badge, not the big one. Numbers like 777,777 score 972,573 EP because several families fire at once — repeated digits, palindrome, lucky sevens — not because of one jackpot.
• Protect the streak. In RNGdle the number is luck; the streak is the only thing on your profile that reflects you. Rolling takes ten seconds, so roll every day even when you do not have time to read the badges.
• Collect deliberately. Every distinct RNGdle badge you earn is added to your profile and levels up when you earn it again; the RNGdle badge leaderboard ranks collections, so long-term players can compete without ever rolling a Mythic.
• Read the odds before you get excited. A 1-in-100 RNGdle badge feels rare on the day, but over a year of daily rolls you will see it a few times. The ones worth a screenshot are the 1-in-100,000 RNGdle badges — and the number 1.
